Engineered Garments Charles Tailored Coat
The Charles Tailored Coat is a tailored fit, double-breasted military style, shin length coat.
There are four pockets on the coat, One of the sets of pockets are two large bellow pockets which sit towards the back of the coat. There are buttons on the bellow pockets which are placed on the side of each bellow. This feature enables the width of the pocket to be extended by unbuttoning. The other two pipe pockets are on the front chest piece, inline below the hip. A perfect location for the hands to be kept warm. The High collar and a self-fabric tab keep the collar in shape but also keep the cold out. There are two belt loops at the front if you require your own belt to be used to give extra closeness. Gingham cotton is used as lining. The coat has interior pockets fastened by buttons and self-fabric loops. This coat represents menswear engineered in the UK. The color may vary due to screen pixel.
Designer's Vision: When designing this coat, I was inspired by the British menswear military coats that were worn during the First and Second World Wars. I wanted to develop a coat that was stylish for men, yet engineered in a modern, functional way. Every part of the Charles Military Tailored Coat combines design with functionality. For example, the bellow pockets with buttons which, once unbuttoned, extend the width of the pocket whilst the pipe pockets keep the hands warm. The collar is high neck with a stand and self-tab that keeps the collar upright to give a regimental look but most of all to keep the cold air from coming through. This is one of those coats that when designed I had in mind that I never want it to be a trend follower but will always be a trend leader. Its engineered functionally style in its own way and I wanted to make the coat to make you feel totally amazing and a center of attention without saying anything.
